Ideas Generation and Business Development
Ideas Generation
Give me a concept or an idea and I will help you flesh it out and give it form. This is my creative and innate gift. If I can help you to generate a toolkit of new ideas and practices, it’s something that inspires me and brings such joy. Empowering others to actand awaken to their full potential, is unq the greatest enabler for success. This may sound simplistic but it is something much greater. It is satisfaction in a job well done for everyone.
“Empowering others to act is unquestionably the greatest enabler for success”
I like to think of Ideas Generation as our “healthy” obsession with making the impossible, possible. This is made possible by using our ability and insight to visualise the future combined with using a balanced approach around reflective work practice i.e., acknowledging individual and collective actions. Integral to this process, is having rational belief in yourself, as an individual and/or organisation to succeed. This is more than possessing drive and ambition, it is about your will or self-mastery – the foundation for your values, intellectual virtue and moral responsibility. Lastly, the key attribute for making the impossible, possible; is the genius factor, the gift of Imagination. When these elements are synergistically connected, I simply call this the 4-Pronged Approach for Ideas Generation.
The 4-Pronged Approach is the axis of my inspiration.
Business Development
One of my greatest skills is being an innovator and taking something that is abstract or quite ethereal and turning it into a concrete plan or vision. One that is both innovative and practical. Whether for personal interest, such as a book or project or for business development. Ideas generation for business involves a combination of exploring your passion, skill set and researching the market. It’s essential to be adaptive to change and open to scenario planning and forecasting. This may also involve components of business and program design, implementation, strategic planning and reflective evaluation. I am idealist with big picture thinking and ideas. There is nothing wrong with thinking grand ideas without being grandiose.
“Sir Henry Parkes envisioned the idea of a Federation of Australian colonies but died in 1899, two years before his dream coming to fruition. In the footsteps of my great, great, great grandfather, I have a vision for the birth of a new 21st century Australia and its one of the grandest visions one could ever imagine. But what is central to this vision is the constitutional change that will occur when our Indigenous people are proclaimed at the heart of our new constitution. The eventual transcendence of their culture will be the greatest gift to our new nation”.
